Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as morning news anchor and crime reporter for WCBD-TV. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases resulted in the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these cases. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. After her time in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor and investigative reporter at NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. The present role of O'Dell as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of shows that were pre-showarrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
